This website talks about horror movies and shows some of the movie posters from those films. I will try and offer different images that you don't normally see. Being a collector myself and having a keen interest in the horror art, I have selected the most unique and seldom seen graphics.

When I was a kid I was going to the local theater just about every week. One of the things I was looking forward to on those Saturday afternoons, was looking at the movieposters for the current and upcoming releases. Of all the genres, my favorite was the horror genre. I didn't realize it at the time but the purpose of the poster was to convince me into buying an admission ticket to that particular motion picture. I was being marketed to and I didn't even realize it.

Since the beginning of the film industry, movie posters was the primary way to advertise. It was supposed to convince you that the movie was worth seeing. The poster literally has to encapsulate the entire essence of the movie in one image. The interesting graphics and tag lines was supposed to tell you about the whole movie or entice you enough to go see it.

Think about it. That poster is going to try and scare you, frighten you, disturb you, send chills down your spine and still make you want to experience those feelings.
